I am Kelsi Kelso Purcell, from San Antonio, Texas. I am a jockey, multi-breed rider, and am now involved in the retraining of retired racehorses. On October 2 - 5, 2019, the Thoroughbred Makeover Event at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky will be the chance to show that racehorses can have a second career in multiple disciplines. I am one of 673 trainers selected to compete. The event is the showpiece of the the non-profit Retired Racehorse Project.

I am training 'Outlaw In Town', whose last race was in August, 2018, and I rode him in that race. He is coming along well - although I have to admit, he is a handful! He's a big sweetheart to work around on the ground. I have been posting my progress with my horse on Facebook and Instagram.

I am trying to raise $1500 over the next days and weeks. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to achieve a new life for Outlaw. I would be grateful for any support you can provide. Any donations and/or help with sharing my fundraiser on Social Media is greatly appreciated!
